POSITION SUMMARY:
Develops employment opportunities
which result in placement for the recovering population served by the Houston
Recovery Campus (HRC).
POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develops employment opportunities
within the public and private sectors of the community that results in
jobs/placement for the population services at the HRC.

Prepares and conducts corporate
and community presentations allowing for employment opportunities and/or
placement for participating clientele.

Develops and implements employment
contracts that will place participating clientele into positions of employment.

Maintains designated records
and files, completes assigned reports, collects statistical data, tracks
productivity and progress of department projects, compiles and organizes
data that will be maintained in the evaluation and quality assurance processes.

Attends counselor staffing sessions,
attends and/or facilitates departmental staff meetings, participates in
designated community events/projects.

Teaches Job Quest/readiness
training to HRC clients.

Provides work direction and
guidance to personnel within department. May lead projects and activities.

CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Excellent written and verbal
skills.
Computer literate – proficient
in MS Word.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
High School Diploma/Equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
5 years of experience with
a high school degree or 1 year of experience with a bachelor’s degree.
Experience in placing individuals with disabilities preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of
force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible
amount constantly to move objects.
