The Equal Employment Opportunity Staff provides technical assistance in the search process to recruit, select and hire university personnel. The staff seeks to identify effective recruitment approaches and communicate appropriate strategies to the hiring authority or search committee before search activities begin. Secondly, the office works with the hiring authority, the search committee and/or Human Resources Department to coordinate the documentation of the search process as required by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. EEO monitors the decision making process and identifies critical stages in the recruitment process where the University can demonstrate its commitment to diversity. EEO is available to meet with hiring authorities, search chairs and search committees upon request for assistance with the search process and/or diverse recruitment strategies.
