As an experienced development professional, you will provide the leadership to manage, develop, solicit and implement a portfolio of individual major prospects.
In the role as the Senior Director, you will be responsible for formulating and implementing the Development Office stewardship and foundation/corporate relations programs. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills are needed to recruit, brief, and accompany volunteers and university leadership for prospect cultivation and solicitation. Working with other University development personnel in a proactive effort, you will develop cohesive prospect strategies.
Requirements include:
- A Bachelor’s in a related field with a minimum 8 years’ experience in major/principal gift fundraising, including direct solicitation; Master’s degree preferred
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be conversant in medical/health professions research to a donor population is a plus
- Ability to orchestrate the involvement of volunteers and organizational leadership
